Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll get professionally filmed video lectures, review exercises to solidify the material, Q&A’s with deep-dive feedback, and practical tools you can start using with clients right away. It’s fully online and self-paced. The CEU value reflects the approximate time commitment (for example, 0.4 CEUs ≈ 4 hours to complete). I highly recommend treating this as a class! Have a notebook, learn the material, and really improve your knowledge base.
-
I’ll be your main instructor (read more here) and I have a few specializations. As both a lifestyle medicine physician and certified personal trainer, you can think of me as a bridge between medicine and fitness—which I find to be very helpful when it comes to teaching this material.
Throughout the course each Building Block will also have an expert contributor specializing in that specific topic. And they are awesome! Everything we teach comes from clinically-proven lifestyle medicine strategies and real-world experience.
-
The biggest difference is that most courses give you information, and I focus on implementation. The exercises you’ll do in the course can be applied to your clients as well. Anyone can tell a client what to do. The hard part is helping them actually follow through. That’s why behavior science and habit formation are built into every course we teach. My goal is for you to walk away more confident and more effective immediately—not just with another certificate.
-
I want to be brutally honest here. This course is for fitness professionals who are looking to really have a stronger grasp on evidence-based healthy living. And you’re going to learn it from a Lifestyle Medicine MD who knows fitness in and out. Something we all know is that health and fitness results are just as dependent as what you do outside the gym as what you do inside. the gym. And you’re going to learn how to optimize ALL of them AND learn how to really incorporate them into daily life—that’s why behavior change is built into each Building Block. It’s a game changer for your career.

YES! Which isn’t always the case with continuing education. One coach told me, “Your courses are so engaging — they’re my favorite from all of the continuing education I’m taking.” Another said, “Thank you for going the extra mile! I see it and I appreciate it.” That kind of feedback means a lot to me, because I put a lot of care into the experience and I want you to succeed.
-
We absolutely do. Continuing Education is meant to improve skills that you want to develop. We don’t want anyone to waste their time on something they aren’t finding helpful. If you are unsatisfied with the course, you’ll get 100% of your money back.
